Le Sourdough Haven started in my kitchen when in my search for healthier alternatives to store-bought bread, I stumbled upon a sourdough bread recipe. From there I became passionate about everything sourdough.
To me, the beauty about Sourdough resides in the lengthy process of making it, which quite honestly is addictive, and seeing the result of it all when the bread comes out the oven sometimes looking nothing like the perfect shaped breads we see in stores.
Because it is naturally leavened ( no commercial yeast is used ), true sourdough is said to be gut friendly, easier to digest and have a lower glycemic index.
With a focus on high quality ingredients, I craft each loaf with love and care.
